Sub-Committees For Season

The first meeting of the newly-elected management committee ot the Wellington Cricket Association was held yesterday. The chairman, Mr. J. D. Howitt, welcomed Mr. A. Roniildson back to the committee. and also welcomed Mr. It. IV. ■Coupland. Both.- he said, would be assets to the committee. The following sub-committees were set up for the season: — ■Senior championship.: Messrs. IV. A. Baker, B. Pegler, It. W. Coupland. Lower grades: Messrs. L. ,f. Brabln,-A. Ronaldson. J. Gray,- H. B. Moore. Membership and finance: Messrs. J. D. Howitt, 11. E. Moore, J. Reid. J. E. Banks. Publicity: Messrs. W. A. Baker and J. Reid.. . Umpires: Mr. H. E. Moore. Coaching: Messrs. W. A. Baker. B. Pegler. L. J. Brabln, and D. P. Caird. ■Sole selector: Air. IV. A. Baker. It- was decided to start championship matches on the last Saturday in October, and if wickets are available on tlie previous Saturday to hold that as a elub day. Permission was granted to a combined team from the Wellington College Old Boys and University clubs to play a match against, an eleven from the Christchurch High School Old Boys’ Club at Wellington on Labour Day. It was that entries for the grade championships should close on October 7.
