EMPIRE AVIATION
DURBAN. June
“An unfortunate impression seems to be gaining ground that in post-war Hying South Africa is to lie left at the mercy of whatever England and America may decide,” says the “Natal Mercury.’’ “It cannot be pointed out too plainly that the Dominions have long ceased to be children. They are not content, meekly to accept orders from Whitehall and from Washington, or anywhere else, and they are not prepared to accept dictation from this and from flint outside financial interest. Britain would be well advised to take the Dominions into her fullest confidence and counsel. Delay will he dangerous, ns half a dozen other countries have eager eyes on the possibilities of quick and effective action.”
