Top price at a sale of thoroughbred stock conducted by Wright, Stephenson & Company, Limited, at the Epsom Showgrounds, 250gns., was paid by Mr. M Marinovich for the brood mare Bay of Islands, by Te Monanul from Gazelia. Mr. Marinovich also secured Palustre, by Tea Tray from Marshlands, for 2-10gns. Both mares are stinted to Foxbridge. The four-year-old Pennywhistle, |>y Myosotis from Penny Wise, was bought by Messrs. L. and L. Howard, Manurewa, for *!>oogns. Mr. G, J. Barton, Dunedin, who raced Indianapolis, secured a filly by that horse from Lady Gertrude, dam of Hilda Potts, for ISOgns. Other sales were:—Hunting Maid, by Hunting Song—Volopia, Mr. W. J.
