According to a Stockholm message, the Germans have begun the mass evacuation of Vilna, in Poland, in preparation for building a defence line along the frontiers of Poland and the Baltic. Polish farmers within the district are being replaced by Germans to form a security belt. General Bedrich Homola, commander of one of the seven Czechoslovak army corps till Munich was among those executed in Prague for “high treason and contact with enemy countries.” So far, 60 Czechoslovaks are announced as having been shot by the Germans in January.
