SENATE MAY REJECT FLYNN
(Received January 31, 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, January 30.
Senator McKeller issued a statement: “Intense Democrat though I am, 1 greatly regret I find myself unable to confirm the nomination of Mr. Flynn,” which the Associated Press of America says is generally regarded as foreshadowing his rejection unless the nomination is withdrawn before the Senate considers it on Monday. Previously the Democratic leader, Senator Barkley, said confirmation or rejection might depend on the turn of a single vote. Senator McKeller added: “I hope Mr. Flynn or our great President will reconsider tlie matter and withdraw tlie nomination."
