R.A.A.F. pilots are being instructed in dive bombing tactics al the largest instruction school of its kind in tlie South Pacific. The students are all experienced livers, who have been specially selected' lo master Hie technique of this most exacting of all dying operations. Australian-built IVirraways nre proving well suited lor dive-bomb-ing.
As each contingent completes its training instructors and trainees tire posted together to operations! stations. Experienced dive-bomber pilots arc recalled from forward areas to . take charge of succeeding groups of trainees. Since dive-bombing is designed essentially for offensive warfare the news of tin* expansion of this arm of the R.A.A.F. points to a quickening of Hie Allied air offensive north of Australia. Dive-bombing is Hie most accurate form of aerial bombardment, and is particularly effective against snipping ami fixed land defences.
