REMANDS IN DUNEDIN
Theft Charges Against State Employees (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, January 25. ' In the Magistrates’ Court today, eight Government servants, seven of whom were employed by the Army Department and the eighth in the Public Service, were charged with the theft of money, the property of the Government, as under: Alexander Reid Young, £lB/4/6; Percy Lawrence Dawson, £l/11/6; James William Harold Smith, £l5/1/3; James Rivers. £l5/12/11; John Gerrard Farmer. £93/0/3; Lewis Norman Grant, £l/4/3 ; Erie Rowley J.ory, £132/10/11; and Jack Bayne Townsend, £23/1/4. On the application of the police all were remanded till Friday on bail ot £25 each. It was announced that there would be accompanying charges of for"ery ’ .
