CELEBRITY CONCERT

On Sunday evening, February 7, Ignriz Friedman, the eminent Polish pianist, in association with the N.B.S. Orchestra, under Andersen Tyrer, will again appear at a celebrity concert in the Grand Opera House, Wellington. A feature of the concert will be the Concerto No. 1 in B Flat Minor, by • Tchaikovsky, which Ignaz Friedman will play with the orchestra. Mr. Friedman will also be heard in solo numbers. The orchestral programme contains various fine works. including “Ilalka” Overture (.Moniuszko). (first performance in New Zealand). “Walk to the Paradise Gardens” (Delius). “Night on a Bare Mountain” (Moussorgsky) nnd “The Bartered Bride” Overture (Smetana). The proceeds of this concert co to the Wellington Metropolitan Patriotic Appeal.
