RELIGIOUS NOTICES. “GOD HATH APPOINTED A DAY, IN WHICH HE WILL. JUDGE THE WORLD IN RIGHTEOUSNESS BY THAT MAN WHOM HE HATH ORDAINED; WHEREOF HE HATH GIVEN ASSURANCE UNTO ALL MEN IN THAT HE HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD.” (Acts 17: 31). Mr. H. G. Wells, when broadcasting recently, was reported In the cable newts to have said, “Thirty years ago, to think of one super-government throughout tlie World was an impossible dream. Now it is an imperative necessity.” We would a<l<l that “one super-government throughout the World" Is not only “an imperative necessity” it is pure logic and common-sense. "One super-government throughout the World” Is coming as sure as day follows night, 'but Mr. Wells errs greatly when he Imagines that such a government cau or will be established by human Instrumentality. The Word of God declares that the existing “Kingdoms of men” “shall not cleave one to another” (Dan-. 2:43), and recent proof of the infallibility of the Word of God exists in the complete failure of the League of Nations to achieve Its objective —“international co-operation and peace and security.” But whereas all human attempts to create “one super-govorn-ment throughout the world” are doomed to failure and disaster one universal supergovernment is tlie Divine objective and this objective will be achieved at the second coming of Jesus Christ “witli power and great glory” (Acts 1:11, Acts 3:10-21, Matt. 23:37-39, Luke 21:27). Then, according to tile Scriptures, all existing human governments will be swept away and “one supergovernment” will be established at Jerusalem, the geographical centre of the earth. (Dan. 2:44, Hag. 2:22, Rev. 11:15, Jer. 3:17, Isa. 24:23, Jer. 23:5, Dan. 7:14, Zech. 9:10, Zech. 14:9. Psa. 72:8, Psa. 67-4). This “super-government “will consist of Jesus Christ and His immortalized saints, all embodiments of Divine wisdom and ail possessing Almigjity power to enforce it (Isa 32:1, 2 Tim. 2:12, 1 Uor. 0:2, Rev. 20: 6, Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 2:26-27, Matt. 19:28). In thi s government tho world will truly have, in the language of Mr. Wells, “something over nnd above .tlie patchwork of governments we inherit," even a government Hint will fill the earth with tlie giorj> of tlie Lord and bring pence and untold blessings to “all families of the earth” (Numbs. 11:21, Luke 2:14, Gen. 12:3, Gen. 22:18, Gals. 3:1(1, Psalm 72,' Isaiah chap. 2, Isaiah chap. 11, etc.). Reader, the foregoing is a brief outline ot tlie “Gospel of the Kingdom of God"— the Gospel Jesus preached (Matt. 0:35, Luke 8:1, Luke 4:43). You cannot receive salvation unless you believe this Gospel (Mark 16:15-16, Roms. 1:16. Mark 10:15). For a full exposition of “Tlie Gospel of the Kingdom ot God” you should read the book: “CHRISTENDOM ASTRAY,” A copy Will be sent free on application to “BIBLE TRUTH,” Box 71, Wellington.
