Motor-Driver To Be Tried
John Bourne Baylis, motor-driver, aged 37, pleaded not. guilty in the Magistrates' Court, Wellington, yesterday, to n charge that, on or about beptember Jo» 1942. at Wellington, he stole two cases containing worsted suiting material an' ravon crepe cinque material, ot a total value of £467/6/-. the property of the Wellington Harbour Board. The case was heard by Mr. Stout, S.M., Detective-Sergeant. W. McLennan conducted the prosecution, and Mr. r. ' • Ongley appeared for accused. After the evidence of IS witnesses had been heard, the magistrate held that there was sufficient evidence to justify accused being sent, for trial, ami committed him to the Supreme Court f«»r trial.
