War Prisoners’ Labour.
A possibility of the suggestion die Auckland District Council of Primary Production for the employment of prisoners of war in farming being adopted was indicated in advice received at a meeting of the council. In reply to a remit, the National Council stated that the toimer Minister of Primary Production tor War Purposes. Mr. Polson, had indicated -'mt it was possible some use, might be made ill the future <d' Japanese and Italian prisoners. They could be used m luge agricultural schemes; thus relieving mliour for individual farmers.
