Four New Zealanders interned at Lmrhouat, Algeria, are: Squadron Leader R. G. Brickell. Dunedin, Flight Lieutenants D. W. Garland, Epsom, and A. Beresford Smith, Eketuhuna. and Lieutenant B. IL Clinkard, R.N.. Wellington. Clinkard was in Ihe Manchester, which was torpedoed, lie writes to his father, Mr. G. H. Clinkard, New Zealand House: “Weather magnificent. food good, routine monotoiioiif.” They are grateful for the New Zealand Prisoners of War Department's aid.
