OPENING OF ATHLETIC SEASON
The Wellington centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association will ollteially open the 1942-43 athletic season with a gathering at the 1 irie Street Reserve at 2.30 p.m. today, over which Mr. .1. W. Heenan, president ot the centre, will preside. After tin opening run, athletic vises will be conducted by Mr. .1. Gilmore and his assistants. A varied progriininie will be gone through, including relay raves for men and woniem AH American and New Zealand servicemen lire cordially invited to attend, and take part: in the afternoon's activities.
