IVABIHNGTON, November 4. 'The Mafltltne Commission gnnmuiced that shipbuilding declined from 93 m September tp 81 in October, aggregating 890,7(M) tons, and bringing the years production id 6,iX)(i,(WO tons. The decline is attributed to a temporary diversion of• considerable merchant shipbuilding capacity to emergency construction for the armed forces. Mr. 11. J. Kaisei’s Oregon shipyards shared lop hohotirs with the California Shipbuilding Corporation in IViltiilngton. Each delivered 12 Liberty ships, Si-Wv-iive of the 81 were Liberty ships, aud the other ships deliver!d-<were three cargo ships for Britain, eight G type merchantmen, four large tuhke’rs, and one ore carrier.
