Meeting Of Management Committee A meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union was held on Tuesday night, the chairman, Mr. J. N. tMiilard, presiding. The New Zealand union wrote stating that it did not fefel justified in increasing the amount of the school tournament grant from the £l5 which had already been paid. The New Zealand unibn also wrote stating that the appeal by the Poneke club in connexion with the suspension of D. Sinclair, a senior member of the club, who had been ordered off the field last season, had been considered by the committee, but no decision had been given, the appeal being deferred for further consideration. It was requested that the cheque lodged with the protest be returned to the Poneke club. The Wellington City Council wrote asking to be supplied, with copies of the union s -balance-sheets for the past five years, on receipt of which the. union’s application for a remission of rates on the Athletic Park property for 1942 would be further investigated. It was decided to pay the Lower Hutt City Council half the rent of the Hutt Recreation Ground, £150,' for the 1042 season, and to ask the council to consider a remission of rent for the year.
