Cyclone Brings Tidal Wave CALCUTTA, November 3. Seventy-five per cent, of the cattle in the Midnapore and Pargauas districts were wilted out in tlie disastrous 24-hour cyclone which swept several in the Midnapore and Parganas discyclone rose from the Bay of Bengal and forced up a tidal wave which broke into the mainland and devastated considerable areas. Rains lashed the whole area as the cyclone reached its climax. Practically every roughly-built house was severely damaged or destroyed. The havoc in Midnapore was so great that the first few days had to be spent in restoring communications, i without which relief work could not be begun
