Support For Rose Day Effort Something special' iii the way of cominuuity sings is promised by the Wellington R.S.A. in furtherance of its Rose Day Appeal. This sing will be held in the Majestic Theatre between 11.30 u .m. and 1.30 p.m. today. It will be conducted by radio personalities and the main contribution will be made by a visiting servicemen’s band. Items will by Miss Molly Atkinson, Mr. Ken Macatiley and Miss Mavis Edmonds. A special invitation to be present is extended to mothers, wives and, sweethearts of members of the 2nd N.Z.E.I' 1 . The proceedings will be opened by a .-.t’turned serviceman of the present war. Gratification at the public's- interest in the U.S.A. Rose Day appeal was expressed yesterday by the organizer, Mr. It. C. Malcolm, who said that the objective was £7(100. Citizens were invited to semi donations to the U.S.A, headquarters, 12 .Victoria Street, Wellington. Tne slogan for this year’s appeal was. “We will remember . them on Rose Day, November 6.” '
