Airman Rescued From Channel

LONDON, November 3. __ The thrilling rescue of an R.A.F. pilot from the English Channel is announced. He was seen floating in a dinghy between parallel rows of German mines. The plane which rescued him landed in the sea with only 4ft. to spare from the mines. As the pilot was about to take oft lie saw another mine only 15 yards away. In his own words, he managed to bounce over it.”
