SHIPS SUNK American Submarines (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 2. ,A Navy Department communique issued in Washington states that United States submarines in Far Eastern waters have reported the following results: — Two large tankers, one large passenger or cargo ship, two mediumsized cargo ships, two small cargo ships, all sunk. One converted plane-carrier damaged and set on lire, and one destroyer and one medium tanker damaged. These actions have not been mentioned previously. Today’s announcement brings the total of Japanese vessels known’ to have been sunk or damaged by American submarines in Far Eastern waters to 133. Of these, 86 have been definitely sunk.
