Pahlatua, Eketahuna, and Akitio Counties, which areas are controlled by the 1 aliiatua Goods Transport Control committee:— FAT LAMBS—AII fat lambs may be lorried to the nearest Railway within the areas controlled by the Committee. SHEEP—AII sheep must be driven to destinations. Exceptions: (a) Email numbers of fat sheep not.exceeding 20, required' to complete a lorry load ot lambs, may be carried by lorry, (b) At the discretion of the Committee when condition of ewes is such that they cannot walk, approval may be given for transport by motor-lorry. <c) Ewes with iambs at foot (up to six weeks of age only) may be lorried without restriction. STORE LAMBS—No store lambs may be lorried to or from saleyards for distances under 9 miles. urc^as ?„ privately, the same conditions will apply, i.e., the purchaser may not lorry iambs if destination or rail is within 9 miles. A farmer’s own lambs being moved from farm to farm are subject to the same conditions. RAMS—Rams may be lorried to or from the nearest Ram Fair, or to or from the nearest rail-head. BULL'S—AII bulls (except potters) may be lorried within the area conf rolled • by the Committee. PIGS-—All pigs going to Bacon Companies or Freezing Works are to be carried by a licensed carrier, if such carrier fs operating in the area concerned. BOBBY CALVES—AU bobby calves are to lie carried by a licensed carrier, if such a carrier is operating in the area concerned. GENERAL—In all cases, stock as defined in clauses 1,2 and 3, may be carried only when the lorry is fully loaded. A carrier coming to a sale to pick tip sheep, may be permitted (upon obtaining a Permit from anv Committee member) to bring to such Sale, one load of sheep ■which would otherwise be prohibited. This concession being to avoid empty runring. but a Permit must In every case be obtained in order to prevent abuses. No transport of stock or goods, etc., is permitted betwen the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., unless a Permit be first obtained. Permits, as provided for in the above Regulations, may be obtained from the Committee members:—E. Gleeson, I’ahiatua; P. Donovan, Pongaroa; J. H. Bremner, Pahlatua; R.
