COBDEN. —Gnr. Alfred P., killed in action, October 24, 1042, while on active service, beloved husband of Pauline Co.bden, 22 Clifton Terrace, Wellington, ana second eon of Mr. and Mrs. A. 1. Cobden, 5 Tillman Avenue, Christchurch. He died that others might live.
ROPATA—2/Lieut. Ehae John (Ben), Maori Battalion, dearly loved husband of Maraea Nancy Kopata, and darling daddv-of Michael, died of wounds overseas/ K.I.P. Requiem Mass at the Basilica, Hill Street, at 9 a.m. on baturday, November 7, 1942. THE Friends of the Into 2/Lieut. E. J. (Ben) Kopata are respectfully invited to a Maori Memorial Service at Kaukawa Meeting House, Otaki, on Sunday, November 8, 1942, to pay their respects to the memory of our Maori boys who have made the supreme sacrifice. 01 Plpitca Street.
