The view that there were too. many weak teams in the senior competition, as revealed by the piny in the opening games on Saturday, was expresed by the chairman of the management committee of the Wellington. Cricket Association, Air. J. D. Howitt, at the weekly meeting of the committee yesterday. He suggested that a meeting of delegates should be called to reconsider the question of the amalgamation of clubs, and that the competition should be restarted.
