CLAIMS FOR U-BOATS
LONDON, October 30. A German High Command announcc-nir-nt slates that, a group of U-boats, despite strong defences, attacked a fullyladen convoy on the way to Britain in the North Allantic, sank nine ships totalling tiSJXXI lons, and damaged ottiers. Further operations, it io said, are proceeding. Other U-boats sank six ships totalling 32,425 tons on the supply route between Britain and the United States.
