A letter received at the Missions to ,Seamen Institute, Wellington, recent.}, tells how a group of cooks from a R- iV "’ A F station, keen to help the mission, aira’nged a collection in their camp am at a eattle sale at Carterton. at winch a bull calf, ’’Koniiri-Seaiiian, was sod on behalf of the mission. Two dances have been held at I lie institute. Mr. Isetl played for one and .Hiss Gledhill played for a community sing at the other. Another night; u lull-len„th film iirogrammo was given. Gifts to ships this "weel; have included 40 woollen comforts, two dart boards, complete with darts, ami several bundles ot books amt magazines. Tea at; the weekend was provided by the Nga T.awa P' \ Association, and members ol the Ladies Harbour Lights Guild have, as usual, been responsible for the suppers each night of thc-wcek.
