LOWER AGE DRAFT BILL HELD UP
(Received October 2S, 10 V-m.) WASHINGTON. Oetoner 2i. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. lias-burn, announced that no further attempt will be made to send the Bill drafting the IS to 19-year-olos to a conference with the Senate till * ovember 9, after the elections. Though the measure passed both Houses, it is a present held un because the senate included a provision requiring the younger men to have a year's training before they proceed on active service.
