The Hou. P. C. Webb, Minister of Mines, left Wellington last night for Auckland.
Mr. A. Seed, secretary of tlie New Zealand Sn w,millers’ Federation, returned Io Wellington yesterday from a meeting of sawmilling interests at Rotorua.
Mr. A. 0. Glasse, president of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers, arirved nt Wellington from Auckland yesterday to attend a council meeting and conference of the institute. Dr. W. A. Riddell, High Commissioner for Canada in New Zealand, is still in hospital, but is reported to be making good progress. He was taken 111 suddenly with a heart seizure alwit a month ago,
