At Home Given By W.D.F.U.
An “nt home” was given recently .in Wellington by members of the Dominion advisory board of the W.D.F.U. to members of local branches and visiting members. Guests were received by Mrs W. Orr Balfour, aeting-Doniihion president, and'with her were Mrs. A. C. Stevenson, Lower Hutt, provincial president, Wellington executive, and Mrs 1 . Jordan, president, Wellington brunch. Members of flic advisory board who attendee were Mesdamcs 11. McLcavey, Ohan, \\ . Elliott. Otago. N. Macintosh, Invei'eiirgill. W Lane, Ktico, John Joll, Hastings, M. Lnniplotigh, Stratford, .1. L. Haldane, Nelson. B. E. Evans, Ilinnru. A warm welcome was extended to a foundation member of Ike division. Mrs. E Lilburn, and to Miss Bolson, V angunt'ii, and Mrs. Pooicy, Riiglan. . Mrs. b. 11. Whatley, president of the depot for the utilization of waste, gave a talk, and a musical programme was given by Mesdames Dunean, Eastwood and Caverlnll. Mrs. Elliott, Dominion vice-president, expressed appreciation of the opportunity provided for visititig officials to meet town members socially ijnd exchange viewpoints.

Mrs. Guy Johnston, with the committee of the club, were in charge of meals ami service nt the National Club yesterday. The gift of a carease of sheep and of cabbage, the latter from the W.W.S.A. land girls at Lower Hutt, were welcome additions to the menu. Mrs. R. Roberts was in charge of Saturday’s tea dance.
