CHARGES AGAINST ACTOR
(Received October 23, 7 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, October 22. Two charges of assault have been preferred against Errol Flynn, the Aus-tralian-born screen star. Flynn is due to appear in Court tomorrow on a charge of having assaulted Betty Hansen, aged 17, after a party on the night of September 29. .
Last night Flynn was also charged with having assaulted Peggy Satterlee, aged 17, during a weekend trip on his yacht on August 3, 1941. Police records show that the girl’s mother reported the affair to the district attorney but that she and the daughter disappeared before a complaint could bo issued. Flynn, who was born in Hobart in June, 1909, became an American citizen last August. He was rejected for military service because of a lung ailment. He married Lili Damita, also a film star, in May, 1935, and she divorced him last April, retaining the custody of their son, Sean. Under Californian law the ago of consent is 18,
