PLAZA THEATRE
1 “Twin Beds” eontinnes to draw large audiences at the Plaza, and to send them away ■ mirthful. It has an intriguing title, but even that is not as provoking as many of the situations in the film which, seems to suggest a warning against those übiquitous pieces of turulturc. . . , There are times when amusement is too ‘ pale a word for the rich mixture of compromising situations, misunderstandings, and clowning whicli affect the lives of three married couples and their friends in an apartment house. Many of the situations are as old as the first play written round domestic misunderstandliigs and * its consequent discord, but Edward Smalls production has a robust quality that gives new zest to the oldest gags. With a cast of Joan Bennett. George Brent, Misclia Auer, and Ernest Truex, everything else necessary for hilarity is provided.
