DELAYED CONSENT
Notice of his intention to ask the Attorney-General, Mr. Mason, to explain the reason for the delay in giving his consent to the retrial of Charles ♦Gough, branch secretary of the Dairy Factory Workers’ Union, on a charge of making a subversive statement to the employees of the Orona Downs Dairy Factory on February 24, was given by Mr. Endean (Opposition, Remuera). In a note to his question, Mr. Endean stated that the consent was given two days ‘before the expiration of six months.
