GREEK STRIKERS
Machinegunned In Athens
(Received October 19, 11.55 p.m.) ISTANBUL, October 18.
Italian carabinieri turned machineguns on transport strikers demonstrating in Athens. Large numbers were killed and wounded. Twelve ringlenders were taken into custody. The Italians also seized 100 hostages and sent them to a concentration camp ns a reprisal for the wounding of two soldiers during the disorder.
