The Gillespies Beach return for the week ended October 17 was 35 ounces lor 118 hours from 14,500 yards. Pukekohe Produce Prices Dominion Special Service. PUKEKOHE. October 19. With a falling off of the demand at the high prices ruling last Monday, cabbages aud cauliflowers grown at Pukekohe have declined sharply in value. Today cabbages were going away at 10/- a Chapman bag, which compares with a top price ol 16/6 last week, while cauliflowers are now at 12/- against’lo/- a week ago. Business in swedes is still being done at !*-/• * cwt.* carrots and parsnips are nominally still at-2.1/- per cwt., but supplies meanwhile are almost exhausted. The price order now applicable makes potatoes £3l, 10/- a ton. as against £35 a week ago, but the demand is still far heavier than the supply. Trade iu plants is at present quiet.
