The totalizator handled £25,075, compared with £17,548/10/- on the corresponding day last year. An Inquiry was held into an accident in Hie Washdyke 'Trot. The evidence showed that Star Lynn stumbled and fell, bringing down Motto. Star Lynn received no interference. Tatterson. the driver of Motto, broke a thumb and had slight head injuries also. A bad smash happened iu the Flying Handicap. Lelglinor, Sally Lunn, Stabilise, aud Egyptian Rose all losing their riders. Leighnor broke a leg and was destroyed.
