EXTENSIVE U.S. FLOOD
(Received October 18, 10.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 17. A flood in the Potomac is slowly receding. after reaching a record level, inundating several low-lying sections of the capital and causing many millions of dollars’ damage in Maryland and Virginia. The damage even exceeded the flood disaster of 1936. At least 15 were drowned.
