DAY ON LEGISLATION
House Of Representatives Disposes Of Four Bills END OF NO-CONFIDENCE DEBATE After Thursday’s lively debate on the no-confidence issue the House of Representatives settled down yesterday to deal with its legislative programme. Formal business having been disposed of, font Bills Avere put through all stages and passed, lhese were the Mina Tait Horton Estate Bill, Medical Advertisements Bill, Women Jurors Bill (No. 2) and Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill. As the House had sat into the early hours of the morning it did not meet at the customary Friday meeting hour, 10.00 a.m., but assembled at 2.30 in the afternoon. It met again in the evening and made such progress that the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, suggested shortly after 9 p.m. that members “call it a day.” The House Avill meet this morning at 10.30 when a start avill be made with the Finance Bill. If reasonable progress is made it is unV likely that the House Avill sit beyond the luncheon adjournment.
