BOOKLET ON N.Z. FOR U.S. FORCES

(Received October 16, 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 15. A booklet issued by the New Zealand Legation in Washington, entitled “Meet New Zealand,” has been prepared _ tor distribution to members of the American forces in New Zealand. The booklet describes New Zealand's features, characteristics, and customs, including the traffic system and the liquor laws. One section which is particularly interesting to Americans says: “We do not belong to England. We do uot pay taxes to England. Mr. Churchill does Jiot tell us what, to do. Generally speaking, England gets a whole lot more advice from the Dominions than the Dominions get from England. You know what, its like for an old lady when her family grows up.”
