WOMAN’S TRAGIC DEATH
(Bv Telegraph.— Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 14. Believing that she was suffering - from pressure on the head, causing her mind to fade, a young and happily-married wotnau, after writing poignant letters to friends and to the coroner, donned a bathing suit and went into the sea at Blockhouse Bay, her body being found later. This was disclosed at the inquest on Nancy Freer, aged 31, who resided in Parnell. In a letter to friends, Mrs. r reer wrote that had she known that she had pressure-on the head she would not have married. She was a brilliant musician and toured extensively m England and Canada. “In Aubrey 1 bud the most wonderful husband any woman could have,” she wrote. ■ “No one else reaLy understood me. I ca-npot bear to leave him, but it’s better just drifting off. Help him through this. I hope he will remarry and save his happiness.” The husband in evidence said they lived happily, and his wife had no illhealth till two months ago. The coroner, Mr. Hunt,- gave a verdict of suicide by' drowning.
