In two events on the first day <* programme o£ the Wellington Kaeing Club * forthcoming meeting, it has been necessarj to resort to a ballot. Hie acceptances, which closed last night, being in excess of the safetv number. Ten horse* nave been balloted out of (be Rimutaka Handicap, and one out of the October Handicap.
