KIEL BOMBED

Concentrated R.A.F. Raid

LONDON, October 14,

A strong force of R.A.F. bombers last night, in good weather, made a concentrated attack on the German port and naval base of Kiel, states an Air Ministry communique. Nine of our bombers are missing.

It was Kiel’s sixty-sixth raid since the start of the war and the sixth night raid on Germany this month. R.A.F. bomb'ers were out over Germany on Monday night attacking industrial targets in the north. All but two came back.

The Air Ministry also reports that R.A.F. bombers on patrol over the Bay of Biscay yesterday shot down two Junkers SS’s and a flyiug-boat.

A goods train and other targets in northern France were shot up without loss,
