No Sign Of Luftwaffe Over

France (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 12

After the successful United States and R.A.F. attack on the Lille district on Friday, Spitfires and Mustangs of the Army Co-operation Command made a number of attacks on fortified positions on the French coast. There was no fighter interference—-an indication that the Luftwaffe had suffered enough damage for one day from the gums of the Fortresses and Liberators. The attacks were imide at a very low level, but all the Allied planes returned safely. ' •
