Vice-Regal Government House, Wellington, October 12.

Owing to unfavourable weather the return of. their Excellencies Jhe Gov-ernor-General and Lady Newaii from Nelson to Wellington lias been postponed till tomorrow morning.

Mr. J. Fletcher, Commissioner of Defence Construction, is visiting. Auckland.

Commodore Sir Atwell Lake, 0.8. E., Chief of the Naval Staff, lias returned to Wellington from Auckland. Air Commodore 11. V. Goddard, Chief of the All' Staff, has returned to the Dominion froffii the United States. Sir Albert Ellis, New Zealand representative on the British Phosphate Commission, arrived at Wellington during the weekend. Captain B. V. Cooksley, M.M., representative of the Ministry of Primary Production for War Purposes, has returned to Wellington from Auckland.
