I.R.A. Men And Police WATCH ON BORDER FOR RAIDERS

A gun battle lasting for 15 minutes between police and members of the I.R.A. occurred at dawn at Belleek Police Barracksin County Fermanagh, on the EireUlster border. It is believed there were no casualties. The raiders after the battle escaped across the border.

Gunmen in the night fired on a police car in Belfast. The police returned the fire, and a man was wounded. The area has been cordoned off. A widespread search is continuing for the perpetrators of a time-bomb outrage at Randalstown, where two police officers were buried under the ruins of the police station. Most of the arms discovered in the secret arsenals that have teen raided this week are of British origin, and were mostly stolen from barracks. Quantities of other stolen arms are still missing. Police yesterday interrogated 200 persons outside Belfast. There was much activity along the border, where all vehicles were examined and people had to produce identity cards. More charges are pending against men whose homes were searched’for. firearms in Belfast. The police, in several eases, had to chase men who ran from their homes. Gerald A'dams, aged 16, fired on the police in Belfast with a revolver, and wounded a policeman in the foot. The police returned the lire, and Adams was wounded and sent to hospital. Another youth of 16 was I 'detained and charged with the possession of. illegal documents.' Two men were detained after the search of a house in which a revolver and' ammunition' and three Mills bombs were found.-
