(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 1. Since June, 1939, there has been an increase in the number of women in munitions and in certain essential industries and services of 1,750,000, according to the Director-General of Manpower at the Ministry of Labour. Out of the population of 33,000,000 women of working age (between 'the ages of 14 and 00), more than 22,000,000 are engaged in some form of national service or war employment. However, there is still a shortage of mobile women, and registration of those above the age of ,45 might.be,required.
