From the words of Jesus quoted above it will be seen, however, that there is a limit to tile down-treading of Jerusalem. This is perfectly reasonable for the Scriptures reveal that the Holy city of Jerusalem is the place God has choaen in which "He will put His Name for ever.” (2 Kings 21:7. 2 Chr. 33:7, Psa. 132:13.)- Therefore when Jesus Christ returns to the earth Jerusalem will be "redeemed” and will become "tlie City of the Great King,” "the throne of the Lord,” even the Goflappointed World-centre from which Jesus Christ will reign “with power and great glory” as’ universal King (Luke 21:27, Zech. 1:16, Zech. 2:10, Zech. 8:3, Isa. 52:9, Matt. 5:33, .Ter. 3:17, Isa. 24:23). J erusalem will then also become a World-centre for worship for there a new and magnificent "temple of the Lord” will be erected as “an house of prayer for ail people” (Zech, 1:10, Zech. 6:12-13, Isa. 56:7, Ezekiel chapters 40-48). Then as the Scriptures reveal "many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem nnd to pray before the Lord” (Zech. 8:21-22, Zech. 14:16-31, Isa. 2:1-4). The deliverance of Jerusalem from the Turks in 1017, the British mandate for Palestine in 1922, and the present day revival of Palestine and return of the Jews are all notable "signs of the times” and point to the early return of JesUe Christ to liberate Jerusalem, terminate “the times of the Gentiles,” abolish all the existing Gentile Kingdoms of men and establish one universal Israeiitish Kingdom upon earth— THE KINGDOM OF GOD. (Psa. 102:16, Jer. 33:14-16, Eze. 37:21-22, Luke 1:31-33, Rev. 11:15.) Reader, you cannot be saved unless you believe the Gospel Christ preached which was “the Gospel of the Kingdom of God" (Luke 8:1, Mark 10:15, Mark 16:16).
