FEILDING, September 4. Prices for fat sheep fell somewhat, as compared with last week’s sale. There was a large yarding, specially ewes, which declined appreciably. A medium yarding of stores maintained a good price level. Fat cattle sold at better prices, specially for prime stuff, and good ex dairy beef made better prices than previously. There was' a splendid market for dairy stoek, with keen competition from outside districts. The run cattle market was rather Q 'Fat wethers, prime heavy, 41/10. 43/10; good, 38/7, 39/10: fat ewes, prime. 28/10; good, 20/1 to 28/7; hoggets, heavy prime, 40/1; good, to 35/4; wethers, prime heavy, 43/7. 43/10; good, 39/1. 41/10. Store sheep, wether hoggets, attractive lines, 25/- to 26/3; ewe hoggets, 20/9 to 28/-; b.f. hoggets, to 23/9; two-tooth wethers. 30/0. Dairy springing heifers. £lO to £l4 10/-; springing cows. £7/10/- to £l3; vending heifers, to £2/12/0: run cattle, P.A. steers, £O/13/- to £7/13/-; bullocks. £O/11/- to £lO/17/-; Hereford heifers, £0 Fat Shorthorn bullocks, prime. £l3/12/6; prime cows, £7/7/0 to £9/2/6; ex dairy heavy, cows, to £B/12/6. DANNEVIRKE Again this week the Entries were small at the Dannevlrke stock sale, state Dalgetv and Co.. Ltd. The yarding comprised mostly fat sheep and good prices were on offor. Heavy owes made 27/- to 31/-; prime wethers, 34/- to 37/-. A few fat hoggets were also yarded, and created competition at 26/-. Only a few stores were on offer, wether hoggets making 19/3 to 22/1. In the cuttle section a few fats were yarded. Bullock**, up to £l2: Jersey cows, £5/5/-. The entry of dairy cattle comprised, mostly inferior lots. Jersey cows, due shortly, £4/7/- to £7/5/-; aged Jersey cows. £2/5/-. PAHIATUA The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahlaiua sale. A medium yarding of sheep with a large entry of dairy stoek and pigs were offered to a good attendance of local buyers. Sheep and pigs remained firm on late rates, while realizations for dairy cows ami heifers of quality appreciated on last week’s sale. Springing cows, good £/14/10/- to £10; medium sorts, £9/10/- to £B/10/-; late ealvers, £8 to £4: springing heifers, good £l3 io £10; others. £9 to £7/12/6: heifers fat P.A. cows. £9 to £7. Fat wether®. 3S/6 to 33/-; fat ewes. 26/- to 19/0: fat hoggets, 2<>/S to 23/0: cull hoggets. H)/to 15/9: ewe hoggets, 26/- to 21/4. Pigs: porkers, £3 to £2/10/-; stores, £2/7/- to £2/2/ : wenner pigs, £2 to 31/-.
