Sources Of Manpower (Received September 2, 7 p.m.) CANBERRA, September 2. In its drive to obtain the additional 210.000 men and women for war. purposes, the Australian Government expects that commerce, banking, finance, and insurance will yield 50,000 men, states the Minister of War Organization and Industry, Mr. Dedman, There, will be heavy calls in other industries. Of the 'BO,OOO women who are required 52,000 will have to come from the ranks of the women who are now unoccupied. The Government, will appeal to single women and, married women without children, and if the voluntary response is not sufficient compulsion, is likely, Mr. Dedman ■ said. Twenty thousand men will come from, the retail trade, 10,000 from Government and municipia! departments, 10,000 from reorganized essential industries, 5000 from tho ‘gold industry, and 5000' from the building trades.
