Russians Urge Attack

LONDON, September 1.

The Moscow “Pravda,” in an article on the third anniversary of the outbreak of war, urges the immediate opening of a second front by the United Nations. “Hitler has hurled all his reserves into the Battle of Russia and laid bare the shores of the Atlantic," it says. “It is most important that his plans should be upset now. The Russian, as well as the British and American peoples, know this. They know how important it is to bring greater activity into the struggle against the common enemy.” “Izvestia” says: “The last hope of the German imperialists is that. they will outpace the anti-Hitler coalition and achieve a decisive success before all the potential resources of the coalition are brought into play and before activity by the Allied army supports the struggle of the Soviet people. This scheme must and will be thwarted.” Dr. Alfred Rosenberg, in an article in tlie “Volkisciier Boe.bachter," advised Germans that they must get used to the idea of war for another 30 years. Herr Hitler, in a statement from bis headquarters, appealed for voluntary sacrifices for winter help work. “Our soldiers are staking life and health on an enormous front,” he said. “A majority of the millions of the Far East has made a pact with them that they will prevent our land falling under the barbarism of Bolshevik exploitation or of Anglo-Saxon capitalism,”-
