Two Young Men Charged
Dominion Special Service.
HASTINGS. September 2. Iteghiald Michael Walsh, alias Smith, described on the charge sheet as a ship's cook, of Wales, and Gordon Robert Dunn, soldier and cinema operator, of New Zealand, both aged 21, appeared this morning before Mr. A. Dysart, J.P., charged with on or about July 15 at Wellington stealing two suitcases and three naval uniforms of a total value of £B, the property of the United States Government. ' . , The men were arrested last night,-and in asking tliat they be remanded Jo appear ut Wellington on Monday, SeniorSergeani Quayle said they both .arrived in on Wednesday last, and bad been masquerading as American sailors.
