An example of the remarkably mild nature of the winter and spring seasons in Dunedin was furnished last week by a Mornington resident, who took to the “Otago Daily Times” office a well-grown and fully-ripened strawberry. This, the grower said, was only 'one of many similar berries to be seen in his garden iu Maryhill at the present time. As a general rule, the first of the. new season’s Dunedin-grown strawberries do not appear on the market till the Christmas period, fct at hantL.
