SUPERANNUITANTS MEET

The superannuitants of the Government Printing Office held 4 lheir annual reunion in the rooms of the South Atncan "War Veterans’ Association on Monday. The chair was occupied by Mr. J. Blewman, mayor of Upper Hutt, a former employee of the bookbinding department. The toast of His Majesty the King was proposed by the chairman, after which reference was made to tne deaths of Messrs. John Burns William Craig, and IL 11. Wimsett during the past year. Mr. Marcus Marks proposed the toast of the rublie Service Superannuation Association, to winch Messrs. IV M. IVright, aud C. Ingram responued. Captain Inkster proposed the Government Printing Office, to winch Mr. K. U. Stickney responded. Songs were contributed by Messrs. M. 1. Chnreh and W Parsons. There was also community singing. Mr. B. Mayall acted as pianist, and Mr. Colin Campbell was master ot ceremonies. • . , tn apologising tor his inability to (end, Mr. Mark Maxton, Greytown, who will be 89 vears old this mouth, said he was under‘the care of the doctor.
